The present invention relates to a photosensitive member containing a specific azo compound represented by the following general formula [I]; [I] wherein A is a bivalent group of a condensed poly-cyclic ring which may have a substituent, a pyridine which may have a substituent, a diazine which may have a substituent, a quinoline which may have a substituent, or a benzoazine which may have a substituent; Cp is a residual group of a coupler, which is improved in photosensitive porperties, in particular, sensitivity.
