Abstract:
PURPOSE:To associate bacteriorhodopsin with a photoresponsive excitability artificial membrane under satisfactory condition by separately forming a first artificial membrane absorbing lipids for imparting excitability and a second artificial membrane absorbing bacteriorhodopsin, and superposing them. CONSTITUTION:A first artificial membrane 61 has a first support 63 including many through holes 63a and a DOPH 65 absorbed to the support 63. A second artificial membrane 71 has a second support 73 including many through holes 73a and a bR 75 absorbed to the support 73. The membranes 61, 72 are so superposed that a surface of the membrane 71 in which the bR 75 is not absorbed is brought into contact with the first film. Accumulation of single molecular membrane of the bR is satisfactorily formed. Oscillating frequency characteristics when a light is emitted is excellent.
