PURPOSE: To perform efficiently solid-liquid sepn. and to increase the recovery rate of a solid component by using two sets of endless filter cloths having filter layers consisting respectively of flocks of a specific size and thickening and dehydrating a solid-liquid by such filter cloths.
CONSTITUTION: The solid-liquid mixture in a solid-liquid storage tank 31 is supplied into a filter cloth 1 of a filter by a pump 32. The cloth 1 has a filter layer consisting of flocks sized 0.1W10μ on the surface of a woven or knitted base material. The liquid component passed through the cloth 1 is collected in a filtrate receiving tank 9 and is discharged to the outside of the machine through the discharge port of a seal pot 10. The remaining liquid which does not pass through the cloth 1 is recovered from the cloth 1 by the remaining component in a remaining component receiving tank 14 injected from a recovering nozzle 16 and is gathered in the tank 14. Said component is then supplied into a remaining component supply tank 25 of a dehydrator and is supplied onto a filter cloth 17. The cloth 17 has a filter layer consisting of flocks sized 0.1W15μ on the surface of a woven or knitted base material. The liquid component is squeezed from the component on the cloth 17 by a transfer drum 22 and a compressing roll 23 and the remaining component is scraped and recovered by a scraper 24.
