Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve capacity and accuracy detecting pressure, acoustic- emission, etc., by regulating the angle of rotation of a rotating disk in an LiNbO3 single crystal and cutting out a piezoelectric element from the rotating disk. CONSTITUTION:In a piezoelectric body 1 cut out of a rotating disk turned at 0 deg.+ or -10 deg. around the Z axis of an LiNbO3 single crystal and at 50 deg.+ or -10 deg. around an X axis, an electrode 2 is formed onto one of opposed main surfaces, to which a Z' axis crosses at right angles, and an electrode 3 is shaped onto the other opposed main surface. Accordingly, when pressure F is applied to the piezoelectric body 1 from the side, charges changing in response to the magnitude of pressure are generated in the piezoelectric body 1, and the quantity of the charges is detected through a pair of the electrodes 2, 3, thus determining the magnitude of pressure F.
