Abstract:
Piperazine derivs. of formula (I) and their acid addn. salts are new. A = 2-4C alkylene opt. substd. by 1 or more lower alkyl; Z = O or S; R = H or lower alkyl, R1 = mono- or bi-cyclic aryl or heteroaryl; R2 = mono- or bi-cyclic heteroaryl; R3 = H, lower alkyl (opt. substd. by cycloalkyl, aryl or heteroaryl), cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, aryl, heteroaryl, NR4R5 or OR6; R4 = H, lower alkyl, aryl or aryl-lower alkyl; R5 = H, lower alkylcarbonyl, aryl, aroyl, lower alkyl (opt. substd. by aryl or cycloalkyl) or cycloalkyl; or NR4R5 = satd. heterocyclyl opt. contg. an additional heteroatom; R6 = lower alkyl (opt. substd. by cycloalkyl, aryl or heteroaryl), cycloalkyl, aryl or heteroaryl; lower = 1-6C; aryl = 6-12C and is opt. substd.. Also claimed is the intermediate 1-(2-methoxyphenyl) -4-(2-(2-pyridylamino-ethyl) piperazine (IIa).
