Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the durability of bead portions at a radial tire at which the heights of carcass layer turned-up portions turned up around beads are low. CONSTITUTION:As there is a rapid change of rigidity in the vicinity of about the same height position with that of the radial outer end 46 of a turned-up portion 22, a large shearing distortion occurs at coating rubber 19 between an organic fiber cord 18 and a filler 25 when a bead portion 13 falls in due to load turning movement. Therefore, the large shearing distortion is dispersed and at the same time the value of the shearing distortion is gradually changed in a staircase form by arranging a shock absorption rubber layer whose modulus has the middle value of moduli on both sides, between a main body portion 21 and the filler 25 at a sphere where such a large shearing distortion as this occurs.
