Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide new conjugate elastic yarn having elasticity of the yarn by itself, free from adhesivity and exhibiting improved handleability of the yarn in the post-treatment step and to provide conjugate elastic yarn exhibiting high shrinkage by heat-treatment. CONSTITUTION:The polyester/polyurethane conjugate elastic yarn is composed of a sheath consisting of a copolymerized polyester composed mainly of ethylene terephthalate and containing isophthalic acid accounting for 12-50mo1% of the acid component and a core consisting of a polyurethane elastomer. The conjugate ratio (cross-sectional ratio of sheath/core) is 0.01-0.30. Another embodiment of the invention is conjugate elastic yarn containing a core composed of a copolymerized polyester derived from a dicarboxylic acid component containing 60-88mol% of terephthalic acid and 12-40mol% of a dicarboxylic acid component and a diol component containing 75-90mol% of ethylene glycol and 10-25mol% of at least one kind of diol selected from diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, neopentyl glycol and butanediol.
