Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a cationic-dye-dyeable copolyester containing a copolymerized phosphonium sulfonate in such a manner that the rate of polymerization is improved and that the whiteness of the obtained copolyester or its molding is improved.
CONSTITUTION: A copolyester is produced in the presence of 0.5-50mol%, based on the phosphonium sulfonate comonomer, metal phosphate of the general formula (wherein M is zinc or magnesium).
