Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a Cr-free coating agent for preventing the corrosion of a metallic plate producing no harmful effect on the human body and environment and having corrosion preventing property comparable to that of a chromating agent and to provide a surface-treated metallic plate coated with the coating agent.
CONSTITUTION: A metallic complex compd. of anthocyan contg. a metal having higher ionization tendency than a metallic plate to be protected from corrosion is dissolved in a solvent to obtain the objective coating agent for preventing corrosion. A metallic plate is coated with this coating agent and the solvent is evaporated.
