PURPOSE: To extract a television signal through the most suitable color temperature filter without using any manually operated member, by switching plural color temperature converting filters synchronously to the signal reading out operation from an image pickup means.

CONSTITUTION: A filter 2 divided into four fields different in transmitting wavelength make one turn with the four fiedls by a servo circuit 14 and a motor 12. An object light from the filter 2 is supplied to a magnetic recording head 22 as a recording circuit through a gate 28 and an amplifier 26 after it is converted into the electric signal at an image pickup CCD16 and further converted into the FM modulated signal at a processing circuit 24. In this case, the timing at which filters 4, 6, 8, and 10 of the filter 2 opposing to the image pickup CCD16 is determined by a control circuit 30. The control circuit 30 determines the timing by controlling the servo circuit 14 in accordance with bits from a mark detector 34 at every change-over of the filter.
