PURPOSE: To automatically send a message in a proper timing without hearing a reply message coming from a telephone line.

CONSTITUTION: A main control section 11 controls a line interface 2 by operating a voice transmission button of an operation input section 10 in a talking state with an opposite telephone set to acquire and hold the telephone line 1 and to drive an end detection circuit 5 thereby detecting a reply message coming from the telephone line 1 and discriminating its termination. When the end detection circuit 5 detects an end of the reply message, the main control section 11 controls a voice storage/read section 6 to read the message stored in advance and to send it to the telephone line. When the main control section 11 detects it that the reading is finished, the line interface 2 is controlled to release the acquisition and holding of the telephone line 1 thereby opening the telephone line 1 and terminating the call.
