Title:
FURNACE BOTTOM STRUCTURE OF BOTTOM BLOW CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5837111
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a direct contact of a gas permeable refractory material and a slag, and to prevent erosion of the gas permeable refractory material, by forming the bottom of a furnace in a rugged state, and also stamping a stamping material abounding in a leakage property to the slag, to the rugged part of the bottom of the furnace.

CONSTITUTION: The bottom of a furnace is formed by a wear lining 3 which has formed a rugged surface on its upper surface, by use of a shell 1, a permanent lining 2 and special form brick of dolomite refractory material. Also, on said lining, a stamping layer 4 by an MgO refractory material abounding in a leakage property to a slag is formed. Thickness H of the stamping layer 4 is regulated to about 150mm, and on the stamping layer 4 just above a gas permeable refractory body 6, a gas permeable hole 7 is opened. The stamping layer 4 is strongly held by the rugged surface of the wear lining 3, therefore, it is not peeled off not floated up at the time of blow-refining.
