Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the retrievability and the operability.
CONSTITUTION: The actual image of a document is compressed and recorded on a magneto-optical disk 12, and the feature image reduced in the actual image is generated and recorded, when a document ID 'NEWS' of the document is inputted at the time of retrieval of the document, the feature image of the document corresponding to the document ID 'NEWS' is read out from the magneto-optical disk 12 and is displayed on a 16-divided screen.
