Abstract:
PURPOSE:To speed up display switching from table to computational expression, and vice versa, by displaying in a lump the computational expression for summing-up and tabulation of charts which are displayed by a simplified tabulation device, separately from charts. CONSTITUTION:This device has 3 kinds of data memories such as a computational expression memory 3, item data memory 5 and ruled line bit map memory 7, and among the contents of these data memories, on the basis of the page data which are selected by a page selection circuit 8 controlled by an input controller 1, item data on each page of the table are calculated by an arithmetic circuit 9. Since this tabulation device includes 2 video memories for table data display and for computational expression display respectively, that is, refresh memories 10 and 11, generation of displayed data is unnecessary at each time when the display is switched from the computational expression to charts, and vice versa. These data are optionally sent to a CRT display 13, thereby speeding up display switching from the computational expression to the chart, and vice versa.
