PURPOSE: To output a content of a sent document to a telephone set of a receiver side as a voice signal by registering sent facsimile data, converting the data into character data and converting the data into voice data and sending the converted voice data to a telephone set of the receiver side.

CONSTITUTION: A content desired to be outputted as a voice signal is sent to a receiver side telephone set as facsimile data in the communications system equipment 1 connected from a sender side facsimile equipment (FAX) to a public telephone communication network (PSTN) and ISDN or the like. The equipment 1 uses a FAX data character data conversion section 6 to convert the facsimile data into character data and registers the data to a storage section 4 and after the character data are converted into voice data by a character data voice data conversion section 5 and the converted voice data are set to the receiver side telephone set. Thus, based on the voice signal outputted by the telephone set, the content of the document sent by the facsimile equipment is easily and surely recognized.
