Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a protection tool for a rider which is designed to prevent a high compression force from being exerted on the neck of a rider and improve safety of the rider. CONSTITUTION:A protection tool for a rider comprises a helmet part 10; and a drum body part 12 fixed to the helmet part 10. Thereby, a force exerted on the helmet part 10 during collision is transmitted to the drum body part 12 not through a rider and the transmitted force is exerted on the shoulder of the rider through a shoulder part 48. Further, the protection tool for a rider is provided with an air bag device. Since the air bag device is operated at a moment when a motorcycle is collided and the rider is caused to fly from the motorcycle, when the rider is collided with an object, an air bag 22 is already expanded. Even when the rider is collided with an object with his head first collided therewith, a high force is prevented from being exerted on the neck of the rider and the rider is more safely protected.
