Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a protecting device, which can be used even if a voltage increasing ratio is conspicuously low, by connecting a plurality of diodes in close contact to each other in parallel for each of one current direction and the reverse current direction, and linking the diodes by a thermal conductors. CONSTITUTION:A diode circuit 9A is composed of a first diode set 31a and a second diode set 31b. In the first diode set 31a, a plurality of diodes having the same rating are closely contacted and connected in parallel in the same direction. In the second diode set 31b, the structure is completely the same, but the forward direction of the diodes is reverse with respect to 31a. A copper block 32 is provided so as to contact with a plurality of the diodes in each diode set and to surround the diodes. Joule heat yielded by the current of the turned-ON and conducted diodes is applied to the diodes, which are not turned-ON. Thus the diodes, which are not turned-ON yet, can be immediately turned-ON. Reliability required as the protecting device can be strikingly enhanced.
