PURPOSE: To improve working environment without gas leakage by acting a negative pressure in the cavity part of a casting mold or pattern box and sucking a curing gas to cure the molding sand then sucking away the gas by a deodorizing device.
CONSTITUTION: A gas curing type molding device has internally an evacuation chamber 2 on one side of which a vent hole 3 communicating with a gas discharge port 4 is provided. The chamber 2 has a gas discharge port 4. The port 4 is communicated with and connected to a deodorizing device 16 via a piping 15 interposed with a stop-valve 14 in the modway. The device 16 is communicated with and connected to a vacuum pump 18 via piping 19. When a negative pressure is generated in a receiver tank 13 by operating the pump 18 and the valve 14 is opened, the curing gas in a gas generator 11 is introduced into a casting flask 6 to cure molding sand S. The curing gas after curing is introduced into the device 16.
