Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain highly accurate exposure compensation control with high response by controlling radiant-ray dose through the control of the quantity of a radiant ray absorbing fluid pushed into an opening with the use of volume expansion of air bubbles due to heating of a heat element. CONSTITUTION:A thermal head 25 being a heat element is mounted to a cell 22, air bubbles 23 are heated and expanded through power application to push out mercury 24 being a radiant ray absorbing fluid to the outside of an opening 21a thereby increasing the area of the air bubbles 23 facing the opening 21a. Then the power application quantity to the heat element 26 is controlled in response to the radiant ray transmission quantity detected y a detector 5 being a radiant ray transmission quantity detection means 5. Thus, the exposure compensation function with high response and excellent accuracy is attained.
