PURPOSE: To provide a form clipping device capable of stopping a form which can not be held from being carried to a transmission sensor 3, and surely detecting a failure in the clipping of the form.

CONSTITUTION: The form clipping device is provided with a clipper 2 provided on a transfer drum 1 on which the form for a transfer is wound, and clipping and holding the leading edge of the sent form, the transmission sensor 3 detecting the fact that the form is held on the transfer drum 1 or not, and a stopping part 4a located in the vicinity of the transmission sensor 3 and the upstream side in a form carrying direction, and near to the transfer drum 1, so as to stop the form from being carried to the side of the transmission sensor 3.
