PURPOSE: To compensate a weak point in strength of composite material due to uniform oriented fiber without lowering productivity by orienting the fiber at the small end part of a connecting rod raw material in the tangential direction of the circumference of a piston pin hole, one-dimensionally orienting the remaining fiber in its longitudinal direction.
CONSTITUTION: At both end parts in the longitudinal direction in an orientation part, a positive electrode 21a is arranged on a large end part, a positive electrode 21b is arranged on a small end part respectively arranged, an insulating core 15 for the split hole of the large end part is joined to the inner flat face of the positive electrode 21a, and meanwhile an insulating core 16 for a piston pin hole is standingly provided in the small end part. A negative electrode 22 confronted to the positive electrode 21b putting the insulating core 16 there between is arranged nearby the core 16, and these electrodes 21a, 21b, 22 are connected to a voltage impressing device which causes specified electric fields between the electrodes 21a and 22, and between the electrodes 21b and 22 respectively. Hence a weak point in strength of composite material due to uniform oriented fiber can be compensated, and in addition deformation of the piston pin hole following directional thermal expansion difference can be prevented.
