Abstract:
The original reinforced moulding, with as appropriate, longitudinal and/or transverse sections differing in shape and/or size, comprises an outer formed section (12) with foam filling (14) having open- or closed cells. This has high deformation resistance and lies partly or entirely against the outer section, part- or completely filling the cavity. It reinforces the outer section. Also claimed are: (i) a procedure making the moulding; and (ii) use of the moulding as a load bearing section in frames, in timber framing or studding, e.g. in building, in land, air or marine craft, and furniture.
