PURPOSE: To obtain a lightweight, strong pallet, by forming an upper plate and each support leg from press-molding mainly comprised of vegetable fibers, by providing the upper plate with a plurality of ribs extending in the X-axial direction which are arranged at intervals, and by allowing the free attachment/detachment of each support leg to/from the upper plate.
CONSTITUTION: A pallet is comprised of an upper plate 1, and a plurality support legs 2 longitudinal in the Y-axial direction which are arranged parallelly at intervals in the X-axial direction under the upper plate 1. A fork can be inserted between the support legs 2 in the Y-axial direction. The upper plate 1 and support legs 2 both are press-molding mainly comprised of vegetable fibers. The X-axial flexural rigidity of the upper plate 1 is improved by providing the upper plate 1 with a plurality of ribs 1a extending in the X-axial direction which are arranged at intervals in the Y- axial direction. On the other hand, the support legs 2 have leg parts 2a grooved down, and forms a plurality of grooves 2b on their upper edges at intervals in the Y-axial direction. Stretch between the ribs 1a is prevented by fitting the lower edges of the ribs 1a of the upper plate 1 into the corresponding grooves 2b. The upper plate 1 and the support legs 2 are joined by means of locking parts 4 so that they are integrated.
