PURPOSE: To produce a surface treated original sheet remarkably small in the generation of earing at the time of can drawing and to provide the producing method therefor.

CONSTITUTION: An A layer contg. ≤0.08% C, 0.001 to 0.5% Si, 0.01 to 2.0% Mn, 0.001 to 0.1% P, 0.01 to 0.08% Al, and the balance Fe and a B layer in which at least one component among C, Si, Mn, P and Al has a componental difference of ≥0.008% C, ≥0.15% Mn, ≥0.02% P and ≥0.05% Al to the A layer form a two-layer structure of A-B or a multilayer structure of A-B-A and B-A-B, and the ratio of the A layer to the total thickness of the steel sheet is regulated to 20 to 80%. Thus, the generation of earing at the time of drawing is made small, and the yield of the steel sheet and the productivity at the time of can making are improved.
