Abstract:
A process for reducing the concentration of metal contaminants, such as vanadium and nickel, in a petroleum distillate or other hydrocarbonaceous liquid is disclosed. The method comprises demetallizing the distillate by contact with an activated-carbon supported vanadium catalyst.
