Abstract:
PURPOSE:To shorten a construction period and reduce the whole construction cost by reducing drilled earth and using a concrete plate and a foundation block which are prefabricated products so as to eliminate earth retaining work in a method of enlarging the width of a road of cross section formed of a present road, the face of slope and the foundation face. CONSTITUTION:In a method of enlarging the width of a road with cross section formed of a present road 1, the face of slope 2 and the foundation face H, an H-steel pipe 3 is driven in the height position, directly under the lower face of the paved face, of a part to be width-enlarged in the face of slope 2, while a foundation block 4 is buried along a boundary line between the foundation face H and the face of slope 2. A concrete plate 5 is then built up like a retaining wallon the foundation block 4. An upper connecting member 6 is placed horizontally and a lower connecting member 7 is placed along the face of slope 2 to connect the concrete plate 5 and the H-steel pipe 3 to each other. Finally, filling is performed between the concrete plate 5 and the face of slope 2, and the upper face is paved.
