PURPOSE: To provide a rotating device of such structure or shape as to make it hard to transmit exciting force in the rotating direction of a driving shaft to a rotor.
CONSTITUTION: A driving shaft 24 made of stainless steel, for instance, has a linear cut face 24a with the cross section cut into D-shape, and the remaining cross-sectional shape formed into D-shape circular arc face 24b. The linear cut face 24a is formed being extended axially to the root part of the driving shaft 24 from the tip part of the driving shaft 24. The cylindrical supporting part of a boss part 26 has five uneven beam parts 32a, 32b, 32c, 32d, 32e on the inner peripheral wall. These beam parts 32a, 32b, 32c, 32d, 32e are extended to the rear end of the cylindrical supporting part from the front end. In this structure, the characteristic frequency of the beam is proportional to the spring constant of the beam, so that exciting force around the shaft of a rotor can be damped by setting the thickness and length of the beam appropriately.
