Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve reliability by winding a semirigid insulating tape impregnated with a resin and cured after winding on a superconducting wire for a superconducting field coil, inserting inter-layer insulating materials among the coil layer of the coil and forming a cooling path. CONSTITUTION:A rotor for a superconducting rotary electric machine is composed of a coil mounting shaft 2 to which a slot 18 and a helium flowing hole 22 are shaped, superconducting field coils 25, lower and upper insulating materials 27-28, an insulating material 29 in the slot, inter-layer insulating materials 30 and a cylindrical body 31 fitted on the outer circumferential side of said mounting shaft 2. Plural rows and plural layers of superconducting wires 25a are wound and said field coil 25 is formed. The conductor 25a has a semirigid wound insulating tape 26 impregnated with a resin and cured after winding, and is inter-row insulated. Each cooling path 2a, 27a, 29a, 30a communicated with the helium flowing hole 22 is shaped, and a refrigerant is made to flow through the cooling paths, thus cooling said coils 25.
