PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for exactly introducing moisture into a stream of dry gas which is reliable, is cost effective and is easy to use.
CONSTITUTION: The calibration apparatus 100 includes a metallic isothermal heat sink 102. This isothermal heat sink has a cylindrical recess 104 and flat heat transfer surface 106. A Peltier type heater-cooler 112 has a first heat transfer surface 114 parallel to the flat heat transfer surface 106, and a second heat transfer surface 116 parallel to the heat transfer surface 110 of a heat radiator 108. The first heat transfer surface 114 and the second calibration apparatus 116 are thermally disposed between the heat transfer surface 106 of the isothermal heat sink 102 and the heat transfer surface 110 of the radiator 108. The second heat transfer surface 116 comes into contact with the radiator 108 and the first heat transfer surface 114 comes into contact with the isothermal heat sink 102.
