Abstract:
PURPOSE:To omit unnecessary calculation process, and to calculate interval as well as direction effectively in a short period of time by having the time up to a material to be reflected and sweep angle information stored only when the existence of a reflection beam is verified, and whereby transferring them to a calculation means. CONSTITUTION:The driving signal of a laser pulse is output by a pulse generator 4, and a laser diode 1-4 is driven by a driving circuit 16 through this driving timing signal, so that a laser beam is emitted. The laser beam reflected by a material to be reflected is received by a light receiving part 2, and is amplified by an amplifier 11, and when it is then judged by a reflection beam existence judging circuit 12 that a reflection beam does not exist, a range time is measured by a laser pulse of next sweep angle. When it is judged that a reflection beam exists, a judging signal is transmitted to a memory device 14, which stores the contents of counters 10, 13. When a one-time sweeping is finished, the contents stored in the device 14 is transmitted to a CPU 15, which calculates the distance as well as the direction between it and the material to be reflected.
