Abstract:
A scroll compressor in which an axial compliance equal to that ina conventional scroll compressor is realized during a steady running, i.e., the tips and roots of plate-like spiral teeth are allowed to slide with a slight contacting force always maintained therebetween and in which two scrolls, a sliding scroll and a stationary scroll, are separated from each other in the axial direction when the compressor is stopped, the sliding scroll is gradually moved together with a frame towards the stationary scroll so as to reduce a distance therebetween while maintaining a steady posture after started, and it is further moved to a steady running state, thereby making it possible to provide high performance, low noise and high reliability.
