PURPOSE: To provide a method wherein linings of high quality can be done by setting-up reinforcements and by placing concrete while a pressure of lining material is being always kept higher than an earth pressure of the natural ground and a water pressure therefrom, it is not necessary to make forms unnecessarily strong, the cost of construction can be reduced, the work of placing the lining material can be simplified, and the efficiency of the work of lining a tunnel is improved.
CONSTITUTION: Lining material is placed in a reinforcement-set up chamber R, and at a point of time when a pressure of the material in the chamber R is higher than a pressure outside the chamber R, a check valve 60 provided on a main wall frame or an auxiliary wall frame is opened, and the material is supplied between forms and the natural ground through the check valve 60. A shield machine is allowed to tunnel and to drive while an extruding piston in a piston chamber 23 for concrete is being pushed by pressure-holding jacks 25 so that the pressure of the material becomes higher than an earth pressure in the natural ground and a water pressure therefrom.
