Title:
POWDERY COMPOSITION FOR TABLET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6048934
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the titled composition having excellent fluidity in the form of powder and giving a tablet having uniform weight and hardness, by compounding a drug component, a diluent and other additive with a disintegrant comprising a calcium cellulose glycolate having a specific bulk density.

CONSTITUTION: A calcium cellulose glycolate having a bulk density of 550W 900g/l is used as a disintegrant for a powdery composition composed of a drug component, a diluent, a disintegrant and arbitrary additives. Although calcium cellulose glycolate is the most popular disintegrant for medicine, however, it has relatively poor fluidity in powdery composition, resulting in the lowering of the constant rate feed of the powder. It has been found that the use of a cellulose glycolate having high bulk density is effective to improve the powder fluidity and the constant rate feeding of the powdery composition to a tableting machine, and gives tablets having uniform weight.
