Abstract:
PURPOSE:To shorten a processing time and to rapidly detect a shape of an object by using a conversion table in the case of processing to convert a distance when a binary image is distance-converted to obtain distance information, thereby generating a distance image. CONSTITUTION:A value for obtaining an output (distance information Z) by inputting a binary image, i.e., a coordinate Cp (y) on a CCD camera 3 corresponding to a coordinate Sp (y) of a liquid crystal slit 2 as a reference is previously obtained and used as a conversion table 7. In the case of processing to distance-convert, the table 7 is referred and the processing is executed. A value of (phi) or (tan phi) corresponding to the coordinate Cp (y) is read from the table 7, and distance information Z for calculation of a calculating unit 10 is obtained based on the value of the (phi) or the (tan phi). Such a process is executed for each coordinates of the slit 2. The result is used as distance information of each pixel, and output to the each pixel, thereby obtaining a distance image.
