PURPOSE: To simplify installation work, achieve a simple finish of piping with an improved appearance and make treatment with an ordinary drain pipe possible in the case a tank protecting valve should operate by providing a water drain stopper with a tank protecting valve in a drain hole at the lower part of a hot water storage heater tank.
CONSTITUTION: A hot water heating and storing device is provided with a hot water storage tank 1, a heater 5 for heating water in this tank 1, a water supply circuit leading from a water supply source to the hot water storing tank 1 through a pressure reducing valve 4 and a relief valve 7, a hot water supply circuit leading from the hot water storage tank 1 to a hot water supply pipe 9 and a tank protecting valve equipped water drain stopper 15 consisting integrally of a protecting valve and a stopper. Since a piping can be laid from the relief valve 7 directly to the water drain stopper 15, the installation work can be simplified and a simple finish of the piping with an improved appearance can be achieved.
