Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a ship monitor to enable reliable detection and high discriminating accuracy of a passing ship by compensating defects of an acoustic sensor device and a magnetic sensor device with respective advantages. CONSTITUTION: In a ship monitor, the monitor is provided with an acoustic magnetic composite sensor group 10 composed of plural acoustic magnetic composite sensors arranged at the bottom of the sea, a transmitter 20 to simultaneously transmit a magnetic signal and an acoustic signal from this acoustic magnetic composite sensor group 10, a signal processing device 30 to process the magnetic signal and the acoustic signal and an output device 40 to output a signal processed result, and passing of a ship is detected by the magnetic signal, and a kind of ship is discriminated by the acoustic signal.
