Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of cooling performance without increase in the size and production cost of the device.

CONSTITUTION: An absorption type freezing device comprises first and second adsorbent tanks 2 and 3 filled with an adsorbent to adsorb steam, a refrigerant vaporizer 7 to vaporize water flowing from a throttle valve 6, a gas liquid separator 8 to perform gas liquid separation of a refrigerant flowing from the refrigerant vaporizer 7 and feed only steam to the first and second adsorbent tanks 2 and 3, a refrigerant piping 45 through which the lower part of the gas liquid separator 8 and a spot situated upper stream from a throttle valve 6 are intercommunicated, and a refrigerant pump 46 located in the middle of the refrigerant piping 45. By always effecting reflux of water in the gas liquid separator 8 through operation of the refrigerant pump 46 to a place situated upper stream from the refrigerant vaporizer 7, sufficient water is always fed in the refrigerant vaporizer 7 and return of liquid to the first and second adsorbent tanks 2 and 3 and excessive drying of the refrigerant vaporizer 7 are prevented from occurring.
