PURPOSE: To enable a user to sufficiently assure a visual field to a forward upper side and to assure the safety of work at the time of wearing by providing the helmet with a transparent front head part, thereby constituting the helmet.

CONSTITUTION: This helmet 1 is formed to the same shape as the shape of the conventional helmet for work (type collared over the entire periphery) by using a thermoplastic resin (for example, a polycarbonate) which is transparent and has high impact resistance. The front head part (including the front side part of the collar) 11 is made to remain without coating after the molding and a coating for light shielding is applied on the inner side of the middle rear head part (including the part exclusive of the front side of the collar) 12. The coating is executed by spraying a plastic as a coating material to the inner side of the helmet 1 in the state of covering the front head part 11 or by other methods. The user is able to sufficiently assure the visual field to the forward upper side at the time of wearing according to such helmet and, therefore, the safety of the work on a construction site is assured.
