PURPOSE: To provide the information reader which can transmit or copy information of both side original in the order of pages only with the extremely simple operation of reading the front side of the both side original and continuously reading the rear side.

CONSTITUTION: In the case of the both side original with printed information on both sides, the information on the front side of the original and information on the rear side are stored in an image memory 11 as the information of plural continuous pages on condition that the reading on information on the rear side of this original is started by a reading part (4) within prescribed time after the reading of information on the front side of the original is completed. Then, the information of plural pages store in the image memory (11) is rearranged by a file managing part (10) and outputted to a transmission/reception control part (6) or a decoding part (8) successively in the order of pages.
