Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the sensor having photodetectors which are easy to work and have high mechanical strength by disposing a shielding plate having a slit so as to intersect diagonally at the intermediate point of the adjacent sides parallel with each other of a pair of the photodetectors. CONSTITUTION:The photodetecting plates 23, 24 are disposed under the shielding plate 21. The photodetecting plates 23, 24 are both formed by using silicon solar battery plates having a square shape and the same photodetecting area and masking a part on the photodetecting surfaces of the solar battery plates (a) and depositing aluminum by evaporation on the surfaces, thereby forming aluminum electrode layers (b). The unformed part (photodetecting part) (c) of the electrode layer (b) is formed to a trapezoidal shape the hypotenuse of which is parallel with one side of the plate (a). The photodetecting plates 23, 24 are so disposed that the hypotenuses of the photodetecting parts (c) parallel with each other and the slit 22 intersects therewith at the center of the hypotenuses thereof. The light transmitted through the slit is made incident uniformly to the photodetecting parts (c) of the respective photodetecting plates 23, 24 when the sunlight is made incident perpendicularly to the shielding plate 21; therefore, the detection outputs thereof are equaled and the difference or ratio thereof increases or decreases according to the incident angle of the sunlight.
