PURPOSE: To provide a system by which all signals reproduced from three video decks can be viewed by PIP and different screens can be enjoyed by different screens with the mutual comparison and special effect of the screen.

CONSTITUTION: For operating video decks 12 and 13 at reproduction/recording modes, the signals are added to a computer 16 through a keyboard 15. They are recognized and control signals C4-C6 are generated. Only the video deck 14 is turned off, only the signal C1 is set to be 'H' and a switch is changed over to a contact point C. The video signal of the deck 12 is applied to the deck 13 through the contact point C. A synchronizing signal detection part 20 detects a synchronizing signal and supplies it to a PIP control part 23. Signals A-C are given to the PIP signal generation part 24 and a selection part 25 displays them on a monitor 27 through a video processing part. With such constitution, the triple deck recording/reproducing system can be obtained.
