PURPOSE: To provide a device for mounting and dismounting roll chocks with which the mounting and dismounting work of roll chock is executed smoothly and in a short time by absorbing the difference in the height of roll stands, manufacturing error of the roll chock or the like without adjusting the pressure of air springs.
CONSTITUTION: In the device 10 for mounting and dismounting roll chocks with which the roll chocks 12 which are mounted in both end parts of a roll 11 are pulled out of the roll 11 and pushed on the roll, the air spring 25 is provided below a cradle elevating and lowering means 19 for elevating and lowering the chock cradle 18 for the roll chocks 12 and leveling valves for always keeping the height of the top surface of the air spring 25 constant is provided in the pneumatic systems 31 of the air springs 25.
