Abstract:
PURPOSE:To offer a superconductor device for suppressing short-circuit having an extremely large effect of suppressing short-circuit by constituting so as to house a superconducting coil composed by the non-inductive winding of a superconducting wire rod having large paraconductive resistance inside a cryostat. CONSTITUTION:A superconducting coil composed by the non-inductive winding of a superconducting wire rod 1 having extremely large paraconductive resistor is housed inside a cryostat 2 to constitute a superconductor device 3 for suppressing short-circuit. Here, a high-resistant base metal (for instance, a copper-nickel alloy) 5 embedded with a superconducting filament 4 is used as the superconducting wire rod 1. When a short-circuit accident is generated on the downstream side of this superconductor device 3 for suppressing short- circuit and a short-circuit current flows into a superconducting coil, the superconducting coil is quenched all along the line in a moment to grow an extremely large paraconductive resistor. Accordingly, an extremely large effect of suppressing the short-circuit current can be obtained.
