Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a function to insulate between turns and to secure a cooling pass by coiling a superconductive wire which is made by winding an insulated member spirally around a metal core which is a metal wire or metal sheet. CONSTITUTION:A superconductive wire 1 is fabricated by spirally winding an insulated member 4 coated with glass sleeve 6 around a metal core 5 which is a stainless metal sheet. Then, the insulated superconductive wire 1 is made up into a coil and molded by compression. In this case, the spiral insulation contains the stainless core 5 in the center. This is why the superconductive coil is not crushed flat even if it is compressed. Consequently, a cooling pass can be secured.
