Abstract:
PURPOSE:To omit the limitation on the cable length and to flexibly constitute a system by adjusting the generation timing of a synchronizing signal to surely synchronize at the time of arriving to each external device for connecting external devices and a synchronizing signal generator despite the use of signal lines different in length. CONSTITUTION:A synchronizing signal producing means 2 produces a synchronizing signal for the external devices CNC 11 and 21. The delay time measuring devices 3a and 3b measure the transmission delay time caused by a signal line based on the signal returned from each external device that received the synchronizing signal. Then the timing adjustment means 6a and 6b the production timing of each synchronizing signal in accordance with the difference of transmission delay time measured for each external device. As a result, the transmission delay caused between both devices CNC 11 and 21 is measured and therefore the production timing of the synchronizing signal is adjusted so that the sure synchronization is secured at the arriving time point at the devices 11 and 21. Thus it is possible to obtain a synchronizing signal generator which can automatically adjust the generating timing of the synchronizing signal.
