Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the objective belt cover having an excellent vibration- damping property within a wide temperature range and having sufficient mechanical characteristics and heat resistance for being used under an ordinary temperature atmosphere, by employing a reinforced polypropylene resin composition comprising specific resin components. CONSTITUTION:The objective belt cover is provided by employing a reinforced polypropylene resin composition comprising 60-80% of resin components comprising a mixture of (A) 75-95 pts.wt. of crystalline polypropylene resin having a melt flow index of 5-50 and (B) 5-25 pts.wt. of a mixture of (i) ethylene-alpha- olefin copolymer and (ii) an aromatic hydrocarbon resin wherein the compounding ratio of the components i:ii is 1:4-4:1, (C) 15-39% of talc having an average particle size of 6-9mum and (D) 1-5% of glass fibers, the total amount of the components C and D being <=40%.
