PURPOSE: To provide a golf ball in which the arrangement of dimples is never limited, dimples of a special pattern can be arranged, the dimples can be uniformly arranged on the whole surface of the golf ball to provide satisfactory flying characteristic, and the freedom in design of the dimples can be extended.

CONSTITUTION: Twelve dimples to be arranged within a spherical regular pentagon 2 are arranged so that the spherical regular pentagon 2 is symmetrically positioned when rotated at a prescribed angle. Namely, the dimples are arranged in such a manner that, when the inner part of the spherical regular pentagon 2 is equally divided into five pieces from the center O to form virtual triangular section parts 6, and this triangular section parts 5 are rotate every 72° with the center O as the supporting point, the dimples 4 arranged in the inner part are superposed, respectively, or rotation-symmetric.
