PURPOSE: To lessen the difference in the pressure distribution in a grain milling stage and to obtain a grain milling machine which is free from grain cleaning by forming an emery roll by superposing disk-shaped rolls on each other via jet air grooves respectively and setting the height of the jet air grooves larger than the thickness of the disk-shaped roll.
CONSTITUTION: A spindle 5 is freely rotatably supported within an erected bran removing cylinder 36 and the emery roll 17 having a circular cross section is pivotally fitted to the upper part of this spindle 5. A spiral roll 18 for grain feeding is disposed adjacently to this emery roll 17. One end of a rice milling chamber 40, of which the main part is formed between the bran removing cylinder 36 and the emery roll 17, is connected to a grain supplying section 50 and its other end to a grain discharging section 42, respectively. Further, the bran removing cylinder 39 is formed by an outside cylinder 38 enclosing the bran removing cylinder 36. The emery roll 17 is formed by superposing the disk-shaped rolls 23 in superposition on each other via the jet air grooves 27 respectively. In addition, the height of the jet air grooves 27 are set larger than the thickness of the disk-shaped rolls 23. Consequently, the difference in the heights in the pressure distribution in the entire stroke of the rice milling chamber is decreased, the grain milling efficiency is improved and the generation of ground grains is lessened.
