Abstract:
A platform (107) for transporting goods is dimensioned to fit inside a shipping container, has rollers by which it may be moved in and out of the container and has columns (102) in the corners which in one condition are upright and goods are present on the platform and in a second condition are horizontal so that one platform may be stacked upon another. The platform columns have lifting arrangements at their upper ends. Preferably the platforms are loaded at one site, transported to another where they are placed inside a standard ISO container and shipped to their destination. They can be unloaded directly or placed on a further vehicle for local delivery at their shipping destination. When empty and packed flat, a number can be returned inside an empty ISO container. Especially for shipping raw rubber.
