PURPOSE: To obtain a simple and inexpensive copying sheet free from stain for general copying by using photo-setting capsules.
CONSTITUTION: A photosensitive and pressure sensitive copying sheet is obtd. by forming a photosensitive and pressure sensitive layer composed chiefly of microcapsules contg. photo-setting resin, a photopolymn. initiator and a reactant on a support. The seet is superposed on an original and exposed, the coated surface is put on an image receiving sheet contg. a coreactant forming a coloring substance by reaction with the reactant, and the whole surface is pressurized with a roll or the like. The microcapsules in the unexposed part are destroyed, and the reactant exudes onto the image receiving sheet, forming a color developed image. In the exposed part the microcapsules are set and are not destroyed by the pressurization., so color development is not carried out. Because of the positive type, this copying sheet can be used arbitrarily, coloring and discoloring are not caused, and high shelf stability is provided.
